Our Charitable Efforts!

On 17th July our intrepid team from Simmonds Hurford took on the South Wales Bike Ride challenge, raising money on behalf of the British Heart Foundation!  One yellow tandem, a mountain bike that definitely seen better days and a respectable road bike…proving anyone can do it!

Our group joined thousands of other riders who set out in the drizzle to cycle between 28 and 46 miles for the charity.  Adrenalin was high as we all lined up on the start line.

At 9am we were off!  The drizzle and the cloud got worse but the adrenalin kept pumping as we battled hills and roundabouts, traffic lights and puddles.  We did our best to power our way around the routes, picking up water from the army cadets around the course and having a great laugh at the same time!

By 1.15pm we were all back at the start, tired, soggy but having really enjoyed the ride!

Donations are still coming in but we are confident that we raised several hundred pounds for a very worthy cause! #BHF #Gowerbikeride

On 17th September our Account Manager, Louise successfully completed the Gower Walk in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support!

Our team are on the look out for their next challenge…
